Built by parents who got tired of the same Sunday night argument

The story

FamCove started after one too many "wait, was that you doing pickup?" texts. We tried Cozi, FamilyWall, Apple Family Sharing, and three different group chats. None of them solved the actual problem: knowing, at a glance, who has the kid for any given event.

So we built coverage planning first. Every event has a "who's covering this?" field. Unassigned events trigger a 6:30 AM reminder until somebody claims them. That single feature stopped a recurring argument in our household within a week.

Then we added the things we kept doing manually: scanning school flyers with our phones to copy dates into the calendar, collecting daycare receipts every December for FSA reimbursement, keeping a paper note of which babysitter has which sleep-routine preferences. Each of those became a feature.

What we believe

  • No ads in family apps. Your kids' schedule is not an audience to be sold. We charge for the paid tier so we don't have to charge with your attention.
  • Your data is yours. We don't sell it, don't share it with brokers, don't use it to train AI. Export everything as JSON anytime; delete your account in two taps.
  • Coordination is the bottleneck, not motivation. Most household problems are coordination problems wearing the costume of motivation problems. The "lazy partner" trope is usually missing-information in disguise.
  • Build for both adults. Plenty of family apps are built for one parent — usually mom — to manage the household. We build for both adults to share the load. The features that matter are the ones used by every adult.
  • Co-parents deserve real tools. The court-mandated apps cost $99–$200 per parent per year. Most co-parents aren't court-mandated and shouldn't have to pay legal-tooling prices for what should be a normal app.
