Is FamCove free?

Yes — the core shared calendar, coverage planning, and basic chore tracking are free. A paid tier unlocks unlimited events, school-calendar sync, and the reimbursement tracker.

Does FamCove work for separated or co-parenting families?

Yes. Co-parenting was a primary design target. FamCove keeps a court-ready audit log of every change, message, and handoff, and the coverage-planning model maps cleanly to custody schedules.

What devices does FamCove support?

What should pet sitter instructions include?

Per-pet: feeding schedule (food brand + amount + AM/PM), walk schedule (frequency + duration), medication (with timing), allergies, behavioral quirks (afraid of thunderstorms, doesn't like the broom, hides when the doorbell rings), emergency instructions, microchip ID. Per-household: both owners' phones, emergency contacts, home address, vet name + phone (with after-hours backup), insurance carrier + policy. Generated as a printable PDF, taped to the kitchen counter.

Why is FamCove better than a hand-written note?

Hand-written notes go missing. FamCove stores the data once, you re-print fresh before every trip with current dates + any changes since the last sitter. Brand-specific feeding instructions, exact dose amounts, vet phone — verbatim from your saved record, not your memory at 6am the morning you leave.

Does it work for multi-pet households?

What about vacation dates / care window?

When generating the PDF you can include the trip dates ("Care window: Aug 12 – Aug 19") so the sitter knows what they're committing to.

Will the dog walker / Rover sitter use a printed PDF?

Most prefer it. Your regular dog walker reads it once and remembers; new sitters and Rover sitters keep it on the kitchen counter throughout the visit. The PDF works without internet, without learning a new app, without phone batteries.

What's the difference between this and the pet's vet record?

The vet record is what the vet has on file at their practice. The sitter instructions are PARENT-side, focused on day-to-day care — feeding, walks, behaviors, your specific 'how to give the EpiPen' instructions. Same pet, different audience.
