Is FamCove a sports team management app?

It's the parent-side companion. The team admin software (TeamSnap, SportsEngine, LeagueApps) is great at roster, dues, schedule. None of them are great at the multi-team multi-kid juggle a parent actually faces — Mira's swim, Eli's soccer, Ava's gymnastics, all running concurrently with different schedules + different snack rotations + different uniforms. FamCove is the unified parent-side dashboard across whatever team-side apps your kids' coaches happen to use.

How much does it cost vs TeamSnap?

TeamSnap charges $19.99/yr per team to the team admin (usually the team mom). FamCove is free for the first team per kid; $2.99/mo or $9.99/season for additional teams. A family with three kids on three teams pays under $30/season vs $60+ for TeamSnap (and TeamSnap is paid by the coach, not the parent — but you're often expected to chip in).

Does FamCove import from TeamSnap or SportsEngine schedules?

Manual entry for now. iCal import is on the roadmap so when your coach updates the TeamSnap schedule, FamCove pulls the change automatically. For today, you enter the season dates + game day yourself (5 minutes per team) and we generate the rotation forward.

What's actually in the FamCove sports module?

Per-team profile (sport, season, jersey #, jersey color, coach contact), parent roster (other families, manually entered), auto-rotation across the roster for snack/water/carpool/cleanup/fields setup, sport-aware packing list (soccer = jersey + shorts + shin guards + cleats, baseball = + bat + glove + helmet, etc.), one-tap swap with any other parent on the roster, season-wide assignment view.

Why don't the other parents need to install FamCove?

Because the parent roster is just names + phones — you enter them once, FamCove uses them as rotation slots. To share assignments, you can text the schedule via SMS or print it. The other families don't need accounts. (When you're ALL on FamCove later, the rotation will auto-sync — but solo works fine for now.)

What about uniform tracking + jersey numbers?

Each team has jersey number + color stored. The packing list is sport-aware (preloaded for soccer / baseball / basketball / gymnastics / swim / volleyball / football / hockey / lacrosse). Customize per team — your goalie kid needs gloves, your striker doesn't.

Does it integrate with the FamCove calendar?

Game/practice schedules are stored on each team and shown in the parent dashboard. Calendar sync (auto-create calendar events from team schedule) is a near-term roadmap item.
